The ethos behind Garry Brannigan's Digital Dawn is simple: We offer in-depth tuition mixed with enthusiasm and inspiration so you can really develop as a photographer. We teach you new skills about how to capture the moment out on location and create landscape photographs that are unique to you. Our groups are never more than five photographers so you receive a high level of one-to-one tuition. We offer courses in Britain's most beautiful and dramatic locations and base them at hotels with a good standard of food and comfort and no shared rooms or single supplements. It's a combination that attracts 120 photographers each year with many returning for their fourth and fifth course.

This is one of the Digital Dawn's advanced level courses and is designed to inspire photographers not to look at macro photography just as a second best option that can save a poor day with the weather, but to gain an appreciation for how developing an eye for the smaller aspects of the natural world can lead to an extremely individual and rewarding form of landscape photography. These advanced-level courses take you to some of Britain's most beautiful and dramatic locations. They have been designed to concentrate solely on the creative and compositional aspects of landscape photography, with the emphasis of the tuition being to separate the seeing and making of an image from the technical side of recording the photograph in the camera. The vast majority of time is spent out on location with the opportunity to slow the image-making process down and explore each location's potential to the full. With a maximum five photographers per course we have more elbow room as well. advanced landscapes Northumberland
